Obu

With OBU we want to showcase the construction of a mirror in a poetic way. OBU is inspired by the philosophy and aesthetics of Japanese gardens. An essential part of these gardens is that the location of each stone and tree is perfectly thought out, but at the same time seems to be randomly placed. OBU radiates tranquility, a moment to contemplate.
The shape of the reflective part is based on that of a rock and the glass refers to water, two essential elements in a Japanese garden. The organic silhouette is strong and pronounced, while the glass is almost invisible but absolutely necessary. It is a delicate and elegant balance between function and beauty.
