Beaverhausen is a design bureau based in Brussels, established by Mimy A. Diar and Ad Luijten. Mimy was born in 1982 in Ivory Coast. She graduated from Sint Lukas Brussels with a master degree in graphic arts and publicity. Ad was born in 1979 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications. Both haven’t actually got a background in design but are entirely self-taught. Their first attempt resulted in the interior of Waffles Sneaker Delicacies. Then in 2010 the two decided to follow their hearts and officially launch their career as designers.
Services offered by Beaverhausen are wide ranging, from household products to furniture, lighting and interior design as well as creative direction. They have the utmost respect for true craftsmanship while at the same time embracing current technologies, always searching for new dynamics.
For Belgian manufacturer Indera they’ve created an armchair called Royale, which was presented at Salone Internazionale del Mobile in 2011. Currently Beaverhausen is in the process of developing new items for several other companies. Nevertheless they’re always on the lookout for new design opportunities.
